An international financial group APS Holding - providing debt collection services, underwriting and asset management services across Central and South-Eastern Europe - is searching for new team members for our branch: APS Montenegro.

APS is currently present in 15 countries and manages, with over 500 employees, more than 400 000 receivables, having some EUR 4.5bn assets under advisory.

Our Legal department is looking for motivated and energetic Senior Lawyer to join the team in Podgorica!

What will you do?

• Legal advice and opinion in relation to all aspects of the business of APS Montenegro and SPV
• Debt collection advisory and representation trough legal proceedings (enforcement, bankruptcy, litigation, out of court, administrative), including the court and out-of-court settlements with debtors and guarantors.
• Drafting contracts (loan agreements, security agreements, service level agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.)
• Preparation of legal memoranda
• Cooperation with external legal advisors
• Monitoring of legal environment and identification of changes to legislation
• Communication with local authorities and offices
• Legal reports
• Cooperation with Compliance department
• Independent work on own projects
• Making decisions of the Board of directors and the Assembly of the company, and all other necessary Decisions which refer to the status matters of the company
• Reporting to local management

What do we expect from you?

• Degree from a Law school
• Bar exam and member of the Bar association
• Previous professional experience of minimum 5 years (preferably law firm, alternatively in-house, financial institution, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of Montenegrin law, especially enforcement, corporate, contract law, mortgage, pledge, and legal proceedings
• Experience in an international firm or investment fund is an advantage
• Fluent English (oral and written)
• Team player but also able to work independently
• Excellent communication and drafting skills
• Ability to multitask and work under short deadlines
• Attention to detail
